GOD'S KINGDOM IS IN YOU! Some people have difficulty with certain teachings from Jesus. There are people who “HEAR, BUT THEY DON'T REALLY UNDERSTAND” [Mt 13:13 GN] what Jesus said, so they make up explanations that seem logical to them. Jesus told His followers “SOME OF YOU STANDING HERE WILL SEE THE KINGDOM OF GOD COME WITH POWER BEFORE YOU DIE” [Mk 9:1 IC]{Mt 16:28}{Lk 9:27}. Obviously everyone that was listening to Jesus’ words at that time has been dead for many years.  When Jesus referred to His “COMING IN A CLOUD WITH POWER AND GREAT GLORY” as a sign “THAT THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS NEAR” [Lk 21:27, 31 NI], He was referring to His second coming and the final kingdom. However when Jesus stated at the beginning His ministry “THE TIME IS FULFILLED, AND THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS AT HAND” [Mk 1:15 KJ] and subsequently stated “BLESSED ARE YOU WHO ARE POOR, FOR YOURS IS THE KINGDOM OF GOD” [Mk 6:20 NI] and “IF I DRIVE OUT DEMONS BY THE SPIRIT OF GOD, THEN THE KINGDOM OF GOD HAS COME UPON YOU” [Mt 12:28 NI], Jesus was not referring to the final kingdom. When Jesus was questioned about when and how the kingdom of God would come, Jesus replied “THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS WITHIN YOU” [Lk 17:21 NKJ]. Yes, we as followers of Jesus may have the kingdom of God within us just like some of the people did that Jesus was communicating with originally before they died. Yes, we have the kingdom with power as Jesus told us “I HAVE GIVEN YOU AUTHORITY … TO OVERCOME ALL THE POWER OF THE ENEMY; NOTHING WILL HARM YOU” [Lk 10:19 NI]. Everyone who follows Jesus can be confident that Jesus is “IN YOU” [Jn 14:20] and “THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS WITHIN YOU” “WITH POWER” as you have authority “TO OVERCOME ALL THE POWER OF THE ENEMY”!
