SEEK GOD'S GUIDANCE
One of Jesus' apprentices, John, wrote that it would be difficult to
record all the details about Jesus life and ministry [Jn 21:25].
However, several events that are remembered in oral traditions and
subsequently recorded are when religious leaders tried to "TRAP"
[Mk 12:15] Jesus. One of those times, they tried to get Jesus in
trouble with their governing authorities with a question about
paying taxes. Jesus had them show Him money that was used for
taxes and then stated, "GIVE BACK TO CAESAR WHAT IS
CAESAR’S AND TO GOD WHAT IS GOD’S" [Mk 12:17
NI]{Mt 22:21}{Lk 20:25}. In our wicked world today, we may be
at risk of people trying to trap us, as some of what God says and
what Jesus says can be treated as a violation of laws used to protect
sinners. To prepare for this possibility, we need to become
comfortable with God's guidance or seeking God's guidance so we
will make the best response. Remember Jesus says we who believe
in Him will do the things He was "DOING" [Jn 14:12], which
includes being guided on what to "SAY" and "DO" [Jn 12:49,
14:31]. Does God guide you?
