MONEY CAN KEEP YOU FROM GOD! After a conversation with a rich man who was disappointed, Jesus stated, “IT IS EASIER FOR A CAMEL TO GO THROUGH THE EYE OF A NEEDLE, THAN FOR A RICH MAN TO ENTER INTO THE KINGDOM OF GOD” Mk 10:25 KJ{Mt 19:24}{Lk 18:25}.  The expression Jesus used is a hyperbole or exaggeration to make a point. People listening to Jesus understood that a camel which is bigger than a man could not go through the tiny eye of a needle, although some tour guides in Israel today deceive tourists by telling them a small gate is called the eye of a needle. A common example of a hyperbole today might be “I am so hungry I could eat a horse” or “he is older than the hills”.  Many people today as well in Jesus’ day mistakenly think that godly people being rich is a sign of being blessed by God. Jesus followers were shocked by His response to the rich man and questioned “Who then can be saved?” [Mk 10:26 KJ], Jesus’ response was simply “WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE” Mk 10:27 KJ.
