OVERCOME ANGER! Jesus tells us “IF YOU ARE EVEN ANGRY WITH SOMEONE,  YOU ARE SUBJECT TO JUDGMENT!” [Mt 5:22 NL]. Some people have made up a teaching to justify their anger by quoting a psalm from David “Be angry, and do not sin” [Ps 4:4 NKJ] but Jesus, God’s Son who “SAYS” [Jn 12:49] what God told Him to say, tells us that anger will subject us to “JUDGMENT!” Jesus compares anger results to murder results when He says, “ANYONE WHO MURDERS WILL BE SUBJECT TO JUDGMENT” [Mt 5:21 NI].  Obviously the “JUDGMENT” we risk from anger or murder is serious. Anger can lead to more serious problems including murder. One way we can avoid anger is to obey Jesus and “DENY” [Lk 9:23] ourselves as our selfishness and pride are frequent causes of our anger.  When we feel anger, consider it an opportunity to obey Jesus and “FORGIVE” [Mt 6:12] the object of our anger. Forgiveness can help us remove sin and be healed from the dangers of anger. Do you overcome anger? Home, BasicSubjects, Scriptures
