YOU HAVE POWER! God can help us do everything with His spirit including communicating with Him, healing, spiritual warfare, knowing about sin, etc. Jesus says, “YOU WILL RECEIVE POWER WHEN THE HOLY SPIRIT COMES ON YOU; AND YOU WILL BE MY WITNESSES” [Ac 1:8 NI]. When Jesus talks about being empowered by God’s spirit He mentions having the power to witness. For some telling others about Jesus may be easy and for others of us who are less out going we may need help. To tell others about Jesus, especially people who are opposed to Jesus or may want to kill a person who loves Jesus, can be difficult. A classical example is Peter who denied knowing Jesus three times and yet after receiving the power of God’s spirit, witnessed about Jesus to the very men who had Jesus crucified [Ac 4:8-12]. Be comforted that we have the power to witness when God’s spirit in us. To receive God’s spirit we only need to “ASK” [Lk 11:13] God.
